Game Description:
A roguelike game based in traditional Chinese culture, The Way centers around Dreamy, a girl who suffers from a rare chronic disease that has her lingering in a coma on the brink of death. However, as she struggles to regain consciousness, she finds herself fighting against manifestations of the beasts in the Chinese Zodiac.
The Way is a pixel-style desktop game developed by 5 college game developers in 7 weeks.
As an artist on the team, I led stylistic decisions, created character and background assets, and animated characters.
